(Brian McLaughlin and Travis Mills)

Amplify Additive was honored to host Travis Mills, retired United States Army Staff Sergeant and recalibrated warrior at our Global Headquarters in Scarborough, Maine last week. Travis founded the Travis Mills Foundation, which supports post 9/11 veterans by giving men and women who were injured in active duty or as a result of their service, and their families, an opportunity to “overcome physical and emotional obstacles, strengthen their families, and provide well-deserved rest and relaxation” at his retreat in central Maine.

Brian McLaughlin, Founder and CEO of Amplify Additive, and the rest of the Amplify team, showed Mills and his team around the facility, showcasing additive manufacturing equipment, and sharing  examples of how Amplify has leveraged additive manufacturing to create and quickly deliver one-of-a-kind patient specific orthopedic implants and devices by using 3D Metal Printing technology.

In addition, the highlight of the visit focused on a new Osseointegration Implant for above knee & elbow amputations using patented technology, licensed from the University of Maine, to improve bio-bonding and soft tissue attachment, and reduce infections.

Thank you for visiting and thank you for your service, Travis.
