The Arcam EBM Q10plus is particularly ideal for the production of high volume, press fit implants with advanced trabecular structures as derived from CT scans of individual patients.

Stacking & Optimal Positioning

EBM has the ability to stack multiple layers of parts allowing for maximum build capacity within the build space (200 x 200 x 180mm).

High-Power electron Beam

The high-power electron beam gun has the ability to melt layers more efficiently, as well as penetrate deeper into the layers of sintered powder.

Stress-Relieved Components

The EBM process maintains an elevated surface temperature allowing for parts to be stress-relieved directly after melting. This results in low residual stresses final components.

Rapid Scan Speed

The electron beam can move upwards of 8,000 meters per second allowing for the creation of multiple melt pools and maintaining an elevated surface temperature throughout the build platform.

Vacuum Safe Environment

The EBM melting process happens inside a high vacuum providing a clean and regulated environment. The vacuum provides thermal insulation that contributes to high energy efficiency.

Reduced support Structures

EBM technology allows for easily removed support structures that do not require wire EDM or secondary removal techniques. This increases productivity in post-processing.
