Jeff Laniewski

Vice President - Operations

Jeff brings more than 30 years of senior level business operations experience to the Amplify team.  He began his Maine career developing and managing the procurement, supply chain and logistics divisions at IDEXX Laboratories, ultimately growing their distribution and logistics operations across five continents.

His experience managing healthcare operations was on full display as COO of Synernet, Inc. During this time the business expanded to encompass 6 separate operating divisions, servicing hospital systems throughout North America. This growth led to a successful buyout and sale to MaineHealth, Inc.

Most recently Jeff utilized his experiences to teach Entrepreneurship and Business Marketing classes to high school students in Arizona, with that program being recognized by Governor Ducey and the State Legislature for its innovative and creative approach to our youth.

Jeff and his wife have moved back to Maine and enjoy golfing, skiing, hiking, their two grandchildren, and their Puerto Rican rescue dog named Rummy.

Emma Sperry

Additive Manufacturing Project Engineer

Emma grew up in Westbrook, ME and attended the University of Maine for Biomedical Engineering. At UMaine, she was an undergraduate research assistant, teaching assistant, tutor, and member of the Outing Club.

Emma graduated in May 2022 and is completing her Master’s of Science in Biomedical Engineering while starting her career with ARCH Additive – Portland. Emma’s thesis work is related to additive manufacturing, with a focus on soft-tissue ingrowth of porous, 3D printed transcutaneous implants.

Emma enjoys spending her free time outside, especially hiking, skiing, and relaxing on the lake. She also loves to cook and travel.

Kaitlyn Webber

Additive Manufacturing Project Engineer

Kaitlyn graduated from the University of Maine with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering. She first became interested in engineering through the use and design of prosthetics and the application and technology of medical devices. A large factor in her decision to pursue this career path was the fact that she had the chance to touch the lives of people in need.

For the summer of 2021, Kaitlyn worked at Abbott Laboratories as an intern within the engineering department. This site focused on the production of BinaxNOW COVID-Antigen Self-Tests. She also spent two years working at the Advanced Structures and Composites Center as a Student Research Assistant working within the lab building military equipment and gaining experience with FDM 3D printers.

Kaitlyn enjoys being outside, going for hikes, and kayaking. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Ben Henckel

Additive Manufacturing Associate

Ben worked in the Navy as an Aviation Ordnanceman performing inspections and repairs on weapon systems and aircraft. After the Navy, he transitioned to school and has worked in machine shops and with contract manufacturers in Maine.

Ben graduated from Southern Maine Community College with his Associate’s Degree in Precision Machining and Manufacturing. He is pursuing his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Southern Maine, beginning in the Fall of 2022.

In his free time, Ben enjoys keeping up with his small garden and house plants. He also spends time upgrading and repairing hobbyist grade FDM 3D printers.
